Chairperson of the Board

The Chairperson of the Board serves as the highest level of leadership within the Esprit Wellness Foundation. This role guides the vision, governance, and integrity of the organization. The Chair ensures that the board operates effectively, aligns with Esprit’s mission, and provides strategic oversight to support long-term goals — especially the creation of the Esprit Veteran Recreation & Wellness Center.

• Lead board meetings and strategic planning sessions
   
• Support the Founder/CEO in mission alignment and organizational growth
   
• Ensure board accountability, ethical governance, and nonprofit compliance
   
• Represent Esprit at high-level meetings, speaking opportunities, and public events
   
• Mentor and guide fellow board members toward effective leadership and service

• Proven leadership in the military, nonprofit, or public service sectors
   
• Strong understanding of governance, strategic development, or organizational leadership
   
• High integrity, dedication to veterans’ wellness, and belief in Esprit’s mission
   
• Comfortable representing the organization publicly and advising executive leadership

2–4 hours/month, including quarterly board meetings and strategic initiatives

This is a 100% volunteer position. Board members serve out of passion, purpose, and the drive to make lasting impact.
