Director of Legal & Compliance

The Director of Legal & Compliance ensures that Esprit Wellness Foundation operates within all legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks. This role provides oversight on bylaws, contracts, nonprofit law compliance, and risk management, safeguarding the integrity and longevity of the organization.

• Review and advise on all official documents, agreements, and internal policies
   
• Ensure compliance with IRS, state, and federal nonprofit regulations
   
• Help maintain proper board governance, conflict-of-interest policies, and bylaws
   
• Provide legal input on partnerships, sponsorships, and organizational structure
   
• Stay up to date on changes in nonprofit law that may affect EWF operations

• Licensed attorney or legal professional with nonprofit, corporate, or higher-ed experience
   
• Deep understanding of 501(c)(3) regulations, risk management, and organizational law
   
• Detail-oriented and proactive, with excellent communication and discretion
   
• Passionate about using legal expertise to protect and strengthen community impact work

Approx. 2–4 hours/month or as needed (flexible)
