Secretary / Director of Governance

Summary:

The Secretary (Director of Governance) is responsible for maintaining the organizational integrity of Esprit Wellness Foundation by managing official records, meeting documentation, and internal compliance. This role ensures transparency, continuity, and structured communication within the Board and broader leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and distribute minutes from all board meetings and leadership sessions
     
  • Maintain up-to-date records of bylaws, policies, and foundational documents
     
  • Assist with meeting scheduling, board notifications, and internal communications
     
  • Support election processes, board onboarding, and organizational transitions
     
  • Ensure compliance with nonprofit governance best practices

Ideal Candidate:

  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
     
  • Background in nonprofit operations, administrative law, or paralegal experience is a plus
     
  • Comfortable with documentation systems, collaborative tools (e.g., Google Drive, Airtable)
     
  • Strong written communication and commitment to professionalism

Time Commitment:

2–3 hours/month (flexible)

This is a volunteer leadership position on the Board of Directors. Ideal for someone who wants to ensure that EWF remains structured, documented, and legally sound as it grows.
